Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology
Southside Virginia Training Center (SVTC) is seeking students who are interested in receiving scholarships to complete Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology programs.
SVTC is one of five (5) regional public facilities within the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services that provide services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. It is located in historic Petersburg, Virginia, which is only thirty (30) minutes from the state capital, Richmond, and it is centrally located within only a few hours or less from Washington, D.C., the mountains and the ocean resorts of Virginia and North Carolina.
CONDITIONS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP: SVTC will pay for tuition plus a stipend to assist with other expenses. In return, the recipient must agree to work at SVTC after graduation for a period based on one (1) year for each year the scholarship is received. A contract details the conditions.
TO QUALIFY: Students must be accepted into an accredited professional degree program for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology.
