Community/ Social Services Director (Program Manager II) Position # 000103

Job Description: Southside Virginia Training Center (SVTC), a residential facility located near Petersburg, VA, is recruiting for a Community/ Social Services Director. SVTC’s primary mission is to provide quality, client-centered health and habilitative services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. In pursuing the client-centered approach, staff from various disciplines work as a team with the individual and his/her authorized representative to address the individual needs, goals, choices and preferences.

This position develops, implements and maintains professional social work performance standards for facility social workers. Provide social work supervision and consultation. Assist the Director of Residential Services in the planning, development and administering of a comprehensive system of transitional and case management services to govern the delivery of services across the statewide service network.

Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of program supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A Master’s degree from a school of Social Work accredited or approved by the Council on Social Work Education or another comparable body. Preferred direct experience in mid/upper level management with direct experience in administrative activities and programmatic development. Multi-disciplinary experiences in directing and negotiating services for individuals through other professionals.

Knowledge of existing policies, practices and procedures in the area of Medicaid Regulations; budget development and management; personnel management; and knowledge of policies, procedures and regulations related to Medicaid waiver, nursing home and community resources and case management. Applicant must possess integrated analytical and effective communication skills and the ability to develop, implement, review and revise short and long-term organization plans. Resource utilization and interdepartmental participation is critical.

Salary Range: $40,959.00 minimum, Pay Band 5
